The Centre for Cardiovascular Innovation (CCI) is a clinical research operational centre providing services to cardiovascular investigators working in British Columbia to facilitate national and international clinical trials. CCI-CIC is dedicated to improving the health of patients with cardiovascular disease. CCI-CIC provides physical and personnel infrastructure to enhance the research capacity of its member investigators.

Brady Robinson, CCRP
Brady has been with the UBC/VGH Cardiology Research group since 2014. As a research coordinator, he has worked on a number of both industry and grant funded studies across a wide spectrum of cardiology subspecialties. This experience ranges from local investigator-initiated studies to large international collaborations with sites in Canada, the US, and Europe. In 2019, he obtained certification as a Clinical Research Professional by the Society of Clinical Research Associates, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in clinical trial execution and regulatory compliance under Good Clinical Practice and FDA regulations. Brady has recently joined the CCI-CIC team as the lead clinical research coordinator of the international, multi-site COMPLETE TAVR study.

Jackie Chow
Jackie Chow is a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Victoria. She began her career in cardiology before specializing in neonatology and adolescent health at British Columbia Children’s Hospital.
Since joining the Division of Cardiology at the University of British Columbia in 2001, Jackie has contributed to numerous groundbreaking clinical trials and research publications. She is currently the Clinical Research Director at the UBC Centre for Cardiovascular Innovation, where she collaborates with over 20 principal investigators on approximately 45 ongoing clinical trials across various cardiac subspecialties. Jackie leads a dedicated team of 14 staff members who conduct site-based research and serve as coordinating centre for national multi-site research projects
Jackie is also an active member of the Standard Operating Procedures committee at Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute. She serves as the Canadian National Study Coordinator and is a member of the Global Expert Panel for ARTEMIS trial.

Elizabeth Grieve
Elizabeth Grieve is a Registered Nurse with 25+ years of clinical and research experience in cardiovascular, interventional cardiology and critical care. In collaboration with Dr. J. Webb, Liz has led the University of British Columbia Interventional Cardiology Research (ICR) Group at St. Paul’s Hospital (SPH) since 2007. Working closely with clinicians, researchers and trainees, Liz has supported ICR’s mandate to advance cardiovascular care. SPH ICR is internationally recognized as a research hub of innovation in the management of valvular heart disease and other cardiovascular conditions. Under Liz’s leadership, the ICR team has developed long standing expertise in facilitating industry-sponsored clinical trials and other research projects, and supporting the program’s strong training and publication record.
